What is a tutorial?
A tutorial involves instruction rather than discussion. Tutorials are 75 minutes long and are held during one of the conference sessions. A tutorial presenter is an “expert” in the field. Proposals will clearly indicate if the content is intended for novices or for more experienced attendees. Abstracts of accepted tutorials appear in theJournal of Computing Sciences in Colleges, which is included in the ACM Digital Library. Tutorial abstracts must not exceed a length of two single spaced pages.
What should a tutorial abstract contain?
Tutorial abstracts must include:
- A descriptive title
- Email and U.S. mail address for the contact person for the tutorial
- A detailed description of the tutorial
- Short biography of the tutorial presenter. The biography may go beyond the two page abstract limit, in which case the biographies should be removed when submitting the camera-ready copy, which must not exceed two pages
How do I format a tutorial abstract?
Your submission must follow the formatting requirements specified by CCSC, which may be found in the CCSC Manuscript Formatting Guidelines. You will have limited time between paper acceptance notification and final copy submission. Therefore, we recommend that you format your initial submissions according to this format to save yourself time later.
What do I include in the final manuscript submission?
The following items need to be in your final manuscript submission:
- final manuscript (paper or abstracts), which should include all Latex source files (.tex, .bib, and image files) or the Word doc (with image files) and the generated PDF files.
